Weekly Question – On Sunday Specials

I’m almost late (as always) with this last week’s WQ at Julie’s Greenbucks.

What are the special things that you look forward to every Sunday?

Sunday is family day.  Everybody in my family looks forward to it since it really is the only day for us to (for the most part) relax and enjoy each other’s company.

I look forward to –

-the dimsum/congee breakfast either at Gloria Maris or in one of our favorite teahouses at Binondo.

-playing badminton with Hub and Patch. Patch was selected to represent her class in the badminton games for the school intramurals, so we play every Sunday to help her practice. It’s a welcome activity since Hub needs to lose some weight himself!

-doing the groceries. It’s therapeutic for me (and probably for millions of other women out there).

-blogging/plurking away, or, if I’m too lazy…

-sleeping off the whole afternoon. This is one luxury I can only afford on Sundays!

A Passable ’30s Wife and Other Blog Things

Kayni tagged me with this blog-thing…

What kind of 1930s wife would I have been?

You Would Make an Okay 1930s Wife

You have some of the attributes of an ideal 1930’s wife… but you probably didn’t intend it to be that way.
You don’t buy into retro gender roles, though you do embrace your femininity at times.
A 1930’s man may find you passable, but you probably wouldn’t want anything to do with him.

Weekly Question # 9: Simple Pleasures

This week’s question from Julie:

What are the 5 simple pleasures that will give you, well, simple pleasures?

Times have changed… and so have I. 😛 Lately, I’ve become a more easily-pleased person. It really doesn’t take much to make me happy, so my top 5 for simple pleasure are:

1. A fully-functional PC with fast internet. Coffee on the side please. Husband goes to the market on a Sunday morning to buy the week’s supply of meat, fish and veggies, while he lets me sleep in. (Aaah, I love, love, love him for that!)

2. Having a bag of chips all to myself. This is a guilty pleasure. hehe.

3. Cheese popcorn and a good movie with the family.

4. At the end of an exhausting school-week, eating out and/or relaxing with my blog-friends and gym-buddies.

5. Husband goes to the market on a Sunday morning to buy the week’s supply of meat, fish and veggies, while he lets me sleep in. (wait, let me put this in no. 1 slot.) A fully-functional PC with fast internet and my favorite blogs. Coffee on the side please.

Tagged: All About Me

Daiz and Len tagged me with this question:

If you are to leave an important memory, what would that be?

I think the iMoM blog is the most important memory I can leave to my children and their future generations. All my most cherished memories, thoughts, experiences and what-nots are here. I imagine them browsing through the archives and laughing at VGood‘s funnies, or teasing iPatch about her braces, or seeing how pilyo MagNate was as a baby. Blogging is a great way of leaving a legacy – something for future generations to remember the past by.

I was tagged by Mitch some time ago to share bits and pieces of me by answering some Qs.

1. Add your blog/s to the list. Feel free to add all your other blogs. It’s okey if you only post this questions in one blog as long as you answer them.
2. Get back to ME {refers to YEN} and I’ll add your blogs to the master list here! Yup, another linking thingy but this one has 15 questions and you get to enjoy answering them too!
3. Tag as many friends online you know. But you don’t need to be tagged in order to join.

1. When you buy a greetings card, are the words or the picture more important to you? Words – I like to give thoughtful greeting cards. But I don’t buy paper greeting cards anymore. I just send out e-cards from Yahoo Greetings or Hallmark.com. Save the trees!

2. What’s your favorite kind of cake? Continue reading Tagged: All About Me

Linky Tag

I got this tag from Cookie. Since I went into blogbernation (blog-hibernation), my Google Page Rank went down from an already-poor 3 to utterly-poor zer-0! So I hope this tag works. 😛
