Red Ribbon recently launched a new cake – Oreo Cookies & Cream. And for a chocolate-lover like me, it is simply wonderful. Red Ribbon is always my choice when it comes to cakes for any occasion. (And that is the truth – not to bola anyone.) It’s our go-to for birthdays and for those days we just want to eat something sweet.
Last week, I was at Red Ribbon buying Technohub‘s birthday cake. I was thinking of getting a Coffee Crunch cake (which is the kids’ favorite), but then Dulce de Leche enticed and called out my name. (Besides, it seemed so much more special.) So hub blew a Dulce de Leche that night. I’d never get tired of it, I tell you.
And now, here’s another Red Ribbon cake that has potential to be a family fave – the all-new Oreo Cookies & Cream cake.
The outside is covered with creamy white icing that’s just-right sweet, the sides are smothered with cookie chunks, and the top made even more delightful with whole mini Oreos. Are you drooling already? Now let’s go right into the heart of it –
– delectable layers of vanilla and chocolate chiffon, chocolate cookies, and creamy cookies-and-cream filling!
I love that the cake is not too sweet. Though the layers seem so rich, having more vanilla chiffon beautifully balances the chocolate-ness.
Red Ribbon Oreo Cookies & Cream cake is now available at Red Ribbon branches nationwide. The regular size costs Php520 and the Junior size Php310.
It’s the perfect treat for the family (OR MOM, take the hint) on Mother’s Day, agree? 🙂
