In Need of Zen

This is the view from the computer/guest room window. I was fixing the TV/DSL/phone cables when I saw this beautiful sight.
The Zen garden, designed by my very own sister, is badly in need of Zen itself. After I’m done working on the house, I’ll move out into the garden and cut away the overgrown greens… Hmmm… Wonder when that is going to be? The tasks of unpacking and fixing and cleaning seem to be endless…
Hey, Toni, how long did it take for you to finally “settle in” to your new home? πŸ˜›

  1. Wow, that’s a beautiful spot πŸ™‚ It would be nice to sit down on a little stool and read there!

Naku, we’ve been living here for almost a year now and still haven’t completely settled in… have to purchase bookshelves, more cabinets, and a nice dining set so that we can invite people over… ang gastos talaga lumipat! πŸ˜›

  2. Well it took us 6 months to finally invite the people who helped us with the move. One of them told us we would be finish by December (that was last March) so I think Vlado took this us a challenge and he was (not me take note, not with my lazy bones) really determined to be finished as soon as possible. That’s why we were relatively fast I guess (though all my notes and files are so disorganized, i put them all into those nice little boxes you would think they really look so organized)

  3. Glad to hear i’m not alone with my moving woes! This room where i am working from is still a mess. My stuff is all over.. worse, the maid took the liberty of packing my office stuff (when i gave precise instructions that only I can touch those).. so now i don’t know where everything is! haaayy..
So i can take as long as 6-12months pala huh?? hehe..

  4. It’s really like that. When hubby and I moved, it took at least 6 months to place everything and till now, we’re still purchasing stuff that we need for the house.

  5. What a lovely spot. My husband likes the Zen idea. He personally made Zen fountains to bring positive chi to the house.
