I Ran for the River

Last Sunday, November 8th, I, my niece and 20,000-plus others came together at the Quirino Grandstand for one cause –  to support the campaign for a clean Pasig River.

The response was overwhelming. My niece said that there were over 1,500 students from University of Sto Tomas (UST) alone. I also saw groups from the Police force, CHED, and other organizations.

The dream to restore Pasig River to its glory of old days is not impossible. If we work together and support the cause like the 20,000-strong runners did, it can be done.

If I keep running, I will have no need for any fat burner ever! There’s another run in November 22 – the Dare to be Fit ‘n Right Fun Run. This is for the benefit of Typhoon Ondoy survivors. I am still thinking whether to join or not… hmmm. Let’s?
