Friday’s Feast # 138

When you travel, which mode of transportation do you prefer?

I’d prefer flying because it’s faster, and I’m lucky I don’t get air-sick. I have traveled several times during my college years by boat, where the dawn view on the deck is breathtaking – you see the sun rising on one side of the horizon and the moon setting on the other side. I’d still love to travel by boat if I had the luxury of time, and provided the liner is reliable in terms of safety.

Have you ever met a blogging friend in person?

Blogging friend – not yet. (Well, does Toni of Gluehwurm count? We were friends back in high school and Blogosphere has reunited us!) Cyber-friends – yes! I have a group of mommy friends whom I’ve met through the net, and gone out with once (I missed too many get-togethers 🙁 ). Oh, since several of them keep blogs, then I suppose that makes my answer: Yes!

When was the last time you were really, really tired?

Three weeks ago when I just started working out at the gym. My body was really, really sore for a few days. I have been sedentary for too long, it took my body a while to get used to the workouts.

Main Course
If you could have dinner with any one fictional character from a book or movie, who would it be?

It occurs to me now that most of the characters I admire in movies or books are not fictional. Among them, I’d most like to have dinner with Chris Gardner (Pursuit of Happyness). I’m sure it will be a dinner that will fill not only my tummy but my heart and mind as well. His story inspires me to keep working towards my dream and not letting the obstacles get me down.

Fill in the blank: One day, I hope to see _______________.

…my children happy with their families and successful in their chosen careers.

Join the feast!

  1. I like your main course…It is wonderful to have someone who inspires you in such a good way.

    Very nice feast.
    Take care,
Thanks for stopping by my feast.

  2. Chris Gardner is a very inspiring person. I’m sure it would be interesting to meet him.

Good luck with your gym program. Enjoy a healthy life.

Thanks for visiting my feast. Take care!

  3. A perfect feast…love the description of your appetizer with the sunrise and the moon setting!!!

Happy feasting….and happy Easter, if you celebrate the season. Mine’s served.

  4. I would love to have your kind of dessert too. 🙂

And about the Burgoo thing, thanks. But I’d like to say generally, it’s fine. Maybe it was just one of the glitches they experienced that day. We will still go back and dine there. 🙂

  5. Ooh. The gym sounds really really tiring. I haven’t found the time to go to the gym ever since my son was born. Thanks for visiting.
