Gaia Cafe and Crafts in Sagada

This post is uber delayed, I know! I was going through my Sagada trip album recently and remembered how beautiful that place is. The views are breathtaking and, for the food lover, there are so many good eats. Gaia Cafe and Crafts is one of our best finds.

Right after our morning of cave exploration, my sis, niece and I decided to go for healthy food at Gaia Cafe and Crafts, as recommended by a co-parent in my kids’ school.

Gaia Cafe was recently named as one of the most picturesque cafes in the country, with amazing views of terrace farms below and pine trees all around. It was a refreshing sight, especially after that strenuous Sumaguing and Lumiang Cave exploration! (I don’t think I will ever do that again.)

A bit of showbiz trivia: the movie That Thing Called Tadhana shot some scenes at Gaia. 😛

Misty Lodge Sagada for homey comfort

My sister, niece and I chose to stay at  Misty Lodge Sagada when we went on that adventure trip early this year because my sister’s sis-in-law highly recommended it. And we couldn’t agree more!

Like most lodges and inns in Sagada, Misty Lodge’s accommodations were basic. We stayed in a room facing the pine tree studded back of the lodge. Waking up to the scene and scent of pine trees is something I really miss. Continue reading Misty Lodge Sagada for homey comfort

Yoghurt House | Sagada Adventures

So my sister, niece and I went on a Sagada adventure in early January. Sagada isn’t just all about nature and the outdoors, exploring caves and falls. The food is reason enough to visit. We ate twice at Yoghurt House – that’s how much we loved the restaurant!

Yoghurt House Sagada

Yoghurt House is one of the places that my brother-in-law highly recommended. I’ve also read up a lot about it online, so it is where we ended up having dinner on Day 2 and breakfast on Day 3 (after watching the sunrise at Kiltepan Viewpoint).

Day 2 Dinner

It was an exhausting day for us, because we did the:

  • Sumaguing Cave
  • Lumiang Cave Burial Site
  • Echo Valley/Hanging Coffin Tour
  • Lake Danum, and
  • Sunset watching at Besao

Ergo, big dinner coming up! Continue reading Yoghurt House | Sagada Adventures

Kiltepan View Point | Sunrise watching in Sagada

Welcome, 2015! To welcome the new year, I went on an adventure trip to Sagada! And one of the highlights of the trip was watching the sunrise at Kiltepan View Point.

Sagada, a little town up north in Mountain Province, Luzon, is such an amazing and beautiful place. First-timers like me will be awed with its natural beauty. I took so many pictures, so I will be dividing my blog posts into several parts.

There are so many things to do in Sagada, and they don’t necessarily have to cost much. Sunrise watching is definitely free! Kiltepan View Point is one of the best places to view the sunrise, so that’s where we (my sis, my niece and I) planned to spend the early morning of Day 3 of our Sagada trip. (As you can see, my posts won’t be chronologically ordered.) Continue reading Kiltepan View Point | Sunrise watching in Sagada
