Banana Peel Flip Flops for fashionable feet

I remember buying my first pair of Banana Peel flip flops many years ago at a department store. Back then, Banana Peel was a new brand, with simple designs. What I liked (and made me buy) were the cute prints and vibrant colors that set Banana Peel apart from the rest of the others on the tsinelas rack.

Fast forward to today, Banana Peel is a proud Philippine brand that is quickly capturing the market with its trendy and chic designs. Banana Peel flip flops now has a full line for women, men and kids.

The nice folks at Banana Peel recently sent me a few pairs from their new collection. The kids and I were happy with our new pairs of Banana Peels.

Fit Mom gift ideas | My grown-up Christmas list

After almost 2 years of sloth-like hibernation, I’m finally working out again! Yes, I signed up for a Gold’s Gym membership. Hooray! And since it’s the Christmas season, I might as well put out here my Christmas wish list. If you’re looking for fit mom gift ideas, here are the essentials. 😀

Gym clothes – shirts, pants, capris. Oh yeah, a sports bra too. Anything comfortable, as long as it’s my size. (Please send me  a private message to know my size, ssshhhhh!)

fit mom gift ideas Nike gym bag

Gym bag – I badly need one. Not necessarily like this Nike bag, but something like it. Not too utilitarian, but not too girly. Not too big, just big enough to hold a change of clothes, a towel, toiletries, a water bottle, maybe a pair of trainers. But I prefer not to mix my shoes with clothes so…

Mary Kay Timewise Launch in Manila

I was invited to the Manila launch of Mary Kay TimeWise a few days ago. TimeWise is Mary Kay’s latest anti aging skin care line.

Mary Kay Timewise Launch Manila Makati Shangri-la

As a woman entering into the late thirties (eeeeeek! Did I say that right??), I am doing my best to take better care of my skin. Once age spots and fine lines appear, it will be very difficult to get rid of them. So I try to maintain habits that are good for the skin. I owe it to myself to keep looking good. All women should, because “when you look good, you feel good.”

I try to eat healthily and keep myself hydrated with water. I also try to stick to a skincare routine – cleansing, toning and moisturizing. Lately I’ve had several diamond peel sessions, and I think they have somehow evened out my complexion.

And yes, I never leave home without putting on sunblock.

During the launch, Mary Kay introduced the new TimeWise Moisture Renewing Gel Mask and the Liquid Foundations line.

Mary Kay TimeWise Moisture Renewing Gel Mask

The new Mary Kay TimeWise Moisture Renewing Gel Mask is a refreshing facial skin care product that you can add to your nightly regimen. The gel mask is supposed to even out your skin tone, reduce pores and fine lines, and make your skin feel supple and smoother. I had a sample application of the gel mask during the event. My skin did feel refreshed and smoother right after application.

How to use the Mary Kay TimeWise Moisture Renewing Gel Mask:

  1. After cleansing and toning the face, apply the TimeWise Moisture Renewing Gel Mask all over the face and neck in gentle, circular massaging motion. Avoid the getting too close to the eye and mouth areas.
  2. Leave on overnight.
  3. When you wake up in the morning, wash face with water to rinse off the gel. Proceed with your usual daytime face skin care.

Ensogo Vouchers for Diamond Peel at YSA Skin Care

A few days ago, I went to my first-evarr diamond peel session at YSA using the Ensogo vouchers that I bought.

Yes, I try to keep a level of vanity when it comes to my skin. I also try to keep abreast of anti aging skin products. But I stick to the basics and the DIYs too.

A few weeks ago, however, Ensogo offered a deal that was hard to resist: diamond peel sessions at 80% discount! So I bought myself some Ensogo vouchers.

Diamond peel treatments are supposed to rejuvenate the skin and work on blemishes like fine lines, sun spots and freckles. I started getting some of those already. So I figure it’s time to get working on ’em before they get too many. 😛

The attendant at the YSA branch I went to was very, very meticulous – karir kung karir sa pricking during the facial treatment stage. I feel I really got a good deal. It’s been several days since, and I think, ahem, my skin does feel smoother. (Or it could be that I’m imagining things, in keeping with the Halloween spirit, y’know. hehe)

On a side note, Ensogo deals are awesome. I’ve gotten a lot of savings on restaurant, spa and beauty vouchers already. So watch out for the next deals – log on to the website and register na.

Disclosure: This is not an advertorial for either YSA or Ensogo. But I do get some cash credits if you sign up with Ensogo through my referral code. 🙂

Fun, fun, fun at Sandalias Festival 2010

Okay, this blogger was on a roll last weekend, attending two events two days in a row. (That’s kinda rare for me, because drayber duties come first, wifey duties second [second lang oh, haha!], and freelance jobs third; there’s often little time and energy left for events.)

Anyhoo… Last Saturday, I went to the cooking demo where I got the squash pasta recipe.

The following day, Sunday, I trooped down to Trinoma with my two girls for a grand event – the Sandalias Festival 2010.

We were greeted by a very festive and energetic mood,  as guests were treated to nail art, glitter tattoos,  foot massages, and the fun photobooth. Very apt for the theme “Step Into Some Love.”

Patch was in high spirits too, she went and climbed the Rider Wall –

Steps Dance Project did a spectacular dance number showcasing different designs of Ipanema, Ipanema GB, Grendha, and Rider. It was amazing how the footwear, despite being tsinelas, were comfy and flexible enough to be worn with the complicated dance steps the group did! I felt like it was a dance-number-slash-fashion-show.
