Welcome to my new look!
I’ve been wanting to change my theme but there hasn’t been enough time or energy to do it while I was still working. So when I finally quit my work-from-home job, one of the projects I set out to do was to update my blog.
Although I loved my old WordPress theme, especially how SEO-friendly it was, the look was getting a bit too old. It was time to update it!
It happened accidentally. I was chatting with one of the winners in a recent blog contest I hosted for Potentilla Diffusers. Yvie happens to be an artist and web designer and I’ve known her in the past few years through social media circles. (Facebook connects indeed!)
And so we discussed online, exchanged ideas and emails, designs went back and forth, until she finally came up with this custom WordPress theme for Imom Online! And I am so loving it. Continue reading A spankin’ new theme!
Wow! It’s still Christmas here??! 😛
I can’t believe how this year’s first quarter just zoomed by! And how I have totally neglected this blog.
Work is what got in the way.
Work-from-home perks: working in pajamas and in the company of Parker 😀
I am thankful, though, for being blessed with a home-based job. In the past 5 months, I realized how lucky stay-at-home moms are today, because they have opportunities that were not available 10 years ago. I’m talking about online jobs that run the gamut from writing, blogging, managing social networks, customer service, and virtual assistants. Home-based jobs are ideal for moms like me who have kids and a home to take care of, but still want to keep a job. I will blog (fingers crossed!) about this on another day.
Anyway, I’m so back. I wanted to renew my commitment to blogging because it’s this blog, after all, that has led to a lot of opportunities for me. And I miss blogging! I miss sharing with you my inanities and randomness. I miss going to events! Hopefully I’d be able to manage my time better and update this blog at least once a week.
I want to send a special shout-out to those who have been visiting and leaving comments despite the obvious inactivity around here. Thank you! 🙂
Angel’s pizza delivery – pepperoni
This is a test post. My dearest, ever-thoughtful Hub gave me an HTC Desire HD android phone two days ago. (“Just because…” daw. Ang haba ng hair ko!)
I am currently busy exploring ze new toy, installing apps and games.
Of course I installed the WordPress for Android app, and it’s what I am using now to write this. I also installed Photoshop Express for basic photo editing (cropping, contrast, brightness, etc) and a free watermarking app.
So yeah, this blog entry was entirely created using Android technology. Cool eh?
Anyway, the family ordered pizza after dinner tonight. It is not quite midnight yet, so it can’t be midnight snack. Hehe.
We recently discovered Angel’s Pizza and are loving it. I have a VIP card which we use to avail of buy-1-get-1 promo on pizzas. Angel’s Pizza delivery number is 922-2222.
As i type this, I realize I can’t create hyperlinks… And my hands are going numb… And my fingers are so fat I keep tapping on the wrong key.
So I should hit the publish button now. 😀
Everyone’s going mobile now. It’s almost necessary for all websites to have mobile versions so that they remain navigable even on mobile gadgets.
So when I get an email from Nokia Ovi offering to make an application of my blog, I thought it was cool!
My blog is now on Ovi Store!
I really am not sure who would want to download my blog app, teehee. But here is the link to get it for free – http://store.ovi.com/content/119630.
If you have a blog and would like a mobile version of it, it’s easy to create one for free on Nokia Ovi. Just go to the Ovi app wizard page, create an Ovi account if you don’t have one yet, and create your app in minutes.
Nokia’s Ovi is to Apple’s Appstore. There are thousands of apps – games, productivity, social networking, and even your favorite blogs. A lot are for free too. Check it out if you’re on Nokia. (Uhm, and while you’re at it, would you check out my app too? 😀 )
My blog is this year’s Best Home & Parenting Blog! I know, right? I still can’t believe it too! I was not expecting to win anything last night at the Philippine Blog Awards.

Anyhoo… So I was really stumped and kinda fumbled when I got up on the stage for the, uhhh, acceptance speech! (ZOMG, who would ever think I’d be doing crazy stuff like this one day??) Continue reading iMom: Philippine Blog Awards 2010 Best Home & Parenting Blog
