Baguio Garden Wedding at Mama’s Table by Chef Vicky Tinio

A few months back, my sister got married in a Baguio garden wedding at Mama’s Table along Ambuklao Road. It was one of the most beautiful and intimate weddings I have ever been to.

At the helm of Mama’s Table is Chef Vicky Tinio, who lovingly and expertly handled the fine details of catering for my sister’s wedding.

The wedding ceremony was held at the garden of Chef Vicky’s home, under the pine trees, and overlooking the serene mountains of the Cordilleras.

Chef Vicky’s home is bright and airy with high ceilings and full-length windows. For this wedding, three elegant long tables were set up in the main hall, and several small tables at the garden lanai. Two buffet tables were strategically placed on both ends of the room.

I regret so much not having taken photos of the delectable lunch buffet! I know – mortal sin! At the time of the wedding (and for the most part of that whole year, and the year before that, I was not actively blogging, hence had no plans of blogging about it.)

My favorite of all the food served was the Cheese Station. Chef Vicky serves a standard cheese platter in her functions. My flying sisters (flight attendants kasi) added different kinds of cheeses and nuts from places all over, making the station a crowd favorite.

My absolute favorite dessert by Chef Vicky is the pavlova – luscious, creamy, fresh, the meringue so perfectly airy and crunchy. Ang sarap!

My other sister (no. 3) set up this yummy table of sweet treats. She does candy buffets, not for a living – hobby lang! 😛

It was a happy day of celebration. We enjoyed the good food, Chef’s beautiful home, the wonderful weather, the endless conversation.
