Hello there! Thank you for visiting iMom Online! You can call me iMom.
I am a Filipino mommy blogger with three kids: iPatch, 18; V, 14; and Nate, 9. My husband is a technophobe, but in this blog he is the technohub. 😛 Credits to him though, because I honestly think that he is a better parent than I am.
Before discovering the joy of blogging, I worked in pharmaceutical marketing for five years. I left in 2005 to focus on raising the family.
I started blogging in 2006 after giving birth to Nate, partly due to boredom. 😀 I really just wanted to try creating an online journal about my kids, and to see if the knack for writing was still there.
But blogging opened up a whole new dimension, leading to many new experiences and opportunities. Because of blogging, I found wonderful friendships and home-based jobs. I realized that I can wear many hats – not just the mommy hat – and learn many new things. In the past 9 years of blogging, I became a content writer, an editor, and a social media consultant. I also maintain this website, so there’s the techie hat.
When not blogging (and there are plenty of times that I am not, haha), I am most probably on Facebook or watching reruns of House, Criminal Minds, Law & Order, Bones, Modern Family, Top Chef, and foodie shows on TLC. As an update, I am currently hooked with the following TV series shows: Gotham, The Flash, Game of Thrones, and of course, The Walking Dead. 😉
I hope you find this blog helpful – be it about parenting, school lunch ideas, family activities, or eating places.
If there’s anything you’d like to write me about, you can email me at imomonline <at> gmail <dot> com.
[Update, 9 April 2016] When I started blogging, I had a newborn, a pre-schooler, and a grade-schooler. Today, I have a college kid, a high schooler, at a grade schooler! I’ve come full circle once again. My motherhood ride is evolving. For a while – which actually equals to 3 years – I stopped blogging, just because. But I am glad to be back, and I am excited to be blogging again, with a wider perspective, more experiences and insights to share.
